Stirrup some fun, while getting in touch with your inner cowgirl or cowboy, at the Western Pleasure Guest Ranch located in scenic North Idaho. This five night get-a-way is designed not only to be fun and relaxing but also educational. The heart of this program is a hands on approach where you experience the true pleasure of caring for and learning about our four legged working partners. You will be educated through individualized arena instruction, have fun participating in horseback games, and relax on scenic trail rides through open meadows, tall pines, and witness spectacular views. You will be trilled with your lodging options which include cozy lodge rooms with private baths or a secluded log cabin in the woods. Of course the ringing of the dinner bell is always a welcome sound as you partake in wholesome ranch cooking always using the freshest ingredients.
Horsemanship instructions taught by Vickie Fuller, who has been teaching since mid 1980's. Her teaching focuses on developing solid basic fundamental skills in both horse and rider to support any discipline the rider may choose to pursue. When not working with Vickie, relax on a scenic trail ride through tall pines to scenic vistas.
Price includes lodging, meals, horseback riding lessons and trail riding.
Our tenth annual Adult Horsemanship session is September 7th - 12th, 2014. Cost is $1150.00 per person, plus tax. (If you would like to bring your own horse or drive to the ranch each day we can price your experience accordingly.)
Leave the kids at home and enjoy five nights of grown up fun! Allow the beauty of North Idaho to rejuvenate you as you trail ride through open meadows, quiet forests, and slow moving creeks. Take a morning to enjoy a relaxing spa treatment or try your hand at skeet shooting. Evening activities may include archery, wagon rides, a scenic boat cruise on Lake Pend Oreille, or old fashioned cowboy music around the campfire.
