Saddle up for some good ol' fashioned fun as you ride along the ridges and valleys of this fifth generation dude and guest ranch, rich in history and beauty. Your hosts have proudly maintained and preserved their ranch land in the beautiful, timbered Selkirk and Cabinet Mountains. Ride through grazing cattle or sneak a peek at deer, bear, and other wildlife in their native surroundings. Watch a Red-tailed Hawk soar overhead and listen to the song of the birds welcoming you to a new day.
During the summer horseback riding is the main activity on the ranch. The riding program includes morning and afternoon rides, a day ride to a water fall for swimming, a dinner ride, lessons in the arena, moving cattle, cattle sorting and arena games. Our 70' by 100' indoor arena means even if its raining, we will have horseback activities available. Trail rides feature outstanding views of Lake Pend Oreille as well as the Cabinet and Selkirk Mountains.
We also offer two hour rides for those not staying at the ranch beginning in March and ending in November. Rides are scheduled Monday - Saturday at 10:00 and 2:00, Sunday is the horses day off. Please give at least 24 hours notice when booking a 2 hour ride.
Guided 2 Hour Trail Rides (for guests not staying at the ranch)
$60.00 per person.

“When you make your living on the back of a horse, you take care of it.” – Owner Roley Schoonover
Our horses are our greatest assett here at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch, so we believe it is vitally important to take care of their comfort and long term use. With this in mind, we have chosen to invest in WYNGZ RidezCool saddle pads, which are designed to be lightweight, flexible and comfortable.
A saddle can make the difference between a great ride and a terrible ride for you and your horse. Therefore, we provide our guests with quality, custom made, John Fallis or Vick Bennett Balanced Ride Saddles. These saddles create a more comfortable ride for you and your horse because: 1) seat design is nearly flat to place the rider on the horse’s true center of gravity, 2) the rigging design reduces the bulk under the riders legs permitting more leg contact and promoting more control and 3) the stirrups are designed to hang farther forward than conventional stirrups to increase the riders stability and balance. We are committed to providing you with the most comfortable ride possible.
